One of Yoshiki Nakamura's snow geese photograph is selected as 3rd place in Wildlie category of International Conservation Photograph Awards on 18th of July, 2010. . The photograph will be exhibited at Burke Museum in University of Washington from 19th of July through September 6th, 2010. Photo is one of Artwork in Birds Gallery of this site titled "Blurry birds in a flurry". Thousands of snow geese migrate from Siberia to the Skagit Valley, Washington, in winter. Huge flocks take off together in a chaotic manner when a threat approaches --- such as a bald eagle. Very show shutter speed (1/50sec) was used to capture this moment of dynamic, energetic, yet elegant moment of the flock taking off.
